Our overall experience with OnTop was excellent. The trip organization and communication were smooth and professional from the start. Emails were clear, responses came quickly, and every logistical detail was covered before we even asked. It really gave us confidence heading into the trip. The itinerary was well thought out, a perfect balance between adventure, scenic variety, and downtime. Each day felt purposeful without being rushed, and there was enough flexibility to make little detours or linger at favorite spots. The GPX files and PDF maps were accurate and easy to follow. Even in more remote sections, navigation was simple. Having both formats was a nice touch. We used the GPX tracks on our devices but appreciated the printed maps for quick reference and overview planning. Lodging and meals were great overall. The accommodations were comfortable, clean, and well located. Food portions were generous after long days on the trail, and the quality ranged from good to outstanding. We especially appreciated the local touches at smaller inns. Based on this experience, I’d rate my likelihood of recommending OnTop to friends a 10 out of 10. My friend and I did a self guided trek of the Tour du Mont Blanc this Aug/Sept organized by OnTop Mountaineering and they did an amazing job! They booked all of our accommodations (which were amazing), made daily detailed routes (including alternate routes for easier/harder options), sent GPX files for use while out of service and gave a huge amount of details on what to expect/pack. We met many other travellers on our hike who booked through other companies and we certainly had better maps, accommodations and trail details! We used On Top Mountaineering for our 20th anniversary trek.  We had a 4 day itinerary and  spoke with their representative Jessica about our preferences.  She was so very meticulous in helping us determine the perfect itinerary for the 4 days.  We also had a via ferrata guide that was absolutely fantastic and knowledgeable on the climb and the history of the area. We had a wonderful trip with OnTop Mountain Guides this July when we did a 4 day/3 night hut-to-hut from Zermatt.  Our guide, Nicola, was friendly, knowledgeable, and most importantly, attentive to all of our needs.  He adjusted to our pace, changes in itinerary, and helped navigate our dietary needs in the huts.  He did this always with good cheer and warmth.  We were lucky to have mostly great weather with wonderful views of the Matterhorn and other scenery. Prior to the actual trip the OnTop staff was super helpful reviewing options, booking the huts, and adjusting when our schedule changed. We had a wonderful ski trip in the Tyrolian Alps (Silvretta traverse)! Andreas is an amazing guide. He is very knowledgeable, has immense mountain experience, is very safe in every decision he makes. He made us feel comfortable to express our opinion regarding itineraries, etc. He was very flexible and adapted to the group’s needs easily. I would definitely recommend him as a guide! Excellent communication from OnTop Mountaineering, very responsive. The itinerary is excellent, 6-8 hours on skis per day. Amazing views every day! Would definitely recommend ski crampons for spring traverses.
